★ How our star ratings work
Handicappers. We track the picks of over 100 paid handicapping services every day. When enough of them agree on the same side, the pick earns a star rating.
Streak players. Every day thousands of streak players each make their one best pick. When they pile onto the same side, it earns a star rating too.

NET = picks on that side minus picks on the other side. A pick needs both the NET and the % to earn a rating, and gets the highest one it reaches.

Streak picks need at least 15 picks and 65% on one side to show at all. Picks without a star rating can still be listed, marked as not star-rated.

How we choose the best bets today
Anyone can post a "lock of the day." We'd rather count. Every day we track the picks of more than 100 paid handicapping services across every sport we cover, line them up game by game, and look for the sides where a lot of them agree. When enough land on the same side with few against, that side earns a star rating and shows up here as one of the best bets today.
The ratings, top to bottom, are LOCK, Platinum, Diamond, Gold and Silver. Two things decide them: the net count (experts for minus experts against) and the share of experts on that side. A pick has to clear both to get a rating, and it gets the highest one it reaches. If you want the exact numbers, the "How our star ratings work" box on this page has the table.
What's on each card
Every star-rated pick shows the sport, the game, the start time and the bet type, plus a bar with the percentage of experts on that side, the count for and against, and the net. Some cards add a note like "one more handicapper on this side" with the next rating up. That's a pick sitting right on the edge of a bump.
Under the star-rated picks there's a "Near miss, not rated" list. Those sides have a group of experts behind them but not enough for a star, and each one says what it still needs. We'd treat them as leans. Fun to know, not where we'd put real weight.
The badge we like most
Some picks carry "Streak players agree" with a percentage. That means the side the experts like is also the side our own streak players are piling onto. Those picks move to the top of the list. Paid handicappers and a crowd of players trying to keep a streak alive reaching the same answer is about as good as agreement gets around here.
The record, out in the open
Above the picks sits the record of the star-rated handicapper picks: overall, the last 7 days and yesterday, and a breakdown by rating. A picks page that hides its record is asking you to trust it. Ours shows you, so if Gold has been ice cold this week, you'll know before you bet one.
Free picks and Full Access
Each sport's top pick is open to everyone, marked as a free pick, so on a busy day you'll find more than one free side on this page. When a free pick's game starts, the next pick in that sport opens up. The rest of the sides and the names of the experts behind them are for Full Access members. Everyone else sees the counts and ratings with the side blurred.
Bet them without a deposit
Like a pick? On a free pick, or on any pick with Full Access, "Bet this pick" puts it straight onto your slip. Everyone gets a Free Bet Balance to bet with on today's lines in every sport, and it refills once it runs out and your bets are graded.
